DevOps Engineer + IT Manager

I design, deploy, and operate cloud-native infrastructure for teams that need to ship reliably. Currently leading IT at VIVUS México from Mexico City — building data centers, securing networks, and automating everything in between.

Engineer by training,
operator by trade.

I'm a Software & DevOps Engineer with a background in physics and mathematics, currently leading IT operations at VIVUS México. I design and operate the infrastructure that keeps modern teams shipping — Linux servers, cloud platforms, containerized workloads, and the CI/CD pipelines that tie them together.

My career spans QA engineering at Huawei LATAM, database administration at Triara, and DevOps at The Software Artisans, where I migrated entire GitLab environments to Kubernetes and built scalable AWS infrastructure. I move fluidly between code, containers, networks, and cloud consoles.

Beyond the day job, I teach programming to students and run a personal HomeLab where I experiment with k8s, prometheus, terraform, and pfsense. I believe great infrastructure is invisible — and that's exactly the kind I aim to build.

From QA engineer to IT Director — every role added a new layer to the stack.

Dec 2025 — Present 📍 Mexico City

IT Director

VIVUS México
  • Lead the design, build-out, and operation of core IT environments: Linux servers, cloud platforms, internal networks, and containerized workloads.
  • Delivered the end-to-end implementation of the corporate data center — network architecture, hardware deployment, and service tuning.
  • Define and enforce security and access management policies (IAM, least-privilege, segmentation) across all internal systems.
  • Manage IT financial operations: budgeting, vendor negotiation, and cost control aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive automation, reliability, and continuous-improvement initiatives across infrastructure and DevOps practices.
